It was close but didn’t happen. It was revealed that Jang Geun Suk was a prime candidate for the role of Goo Joon Pyo during the initial casting for the roles in KBS Boys Before Flowers, but Lee Min Ho got the role in the end.
Boys Before Flowers went through a long period of casting and auditions last year before beginning its broadcast on 5th January. Many were concerned over the casting for the popular adapation of the Japanese manga which has millions of readers worldwide and had been made into a drama in Taiwan and Japan over the past few years. But the initial casting stage wasn’t plain sailing.
According to someone from KBS, Jang Geun Suk had been a prime candidate for the role of Goo Joon Pyo but he wanted the role of Yoon Ji Ho instead. Group Eight, the production company behind Boys Before Flowers expressed that SS501 leader, Kim Hyun Joong had already been pre-selected for the role already. And this explains why there was a long delay in confirming Kim Hyun Joong for Boys Before Flowers even though there were rumors then.

As i expected… the theme of the songs are different from his previous albums.. i admit, among the 6 members of Shinhwa, Minwoo’s the most talented in my opnion. He’s got a great voice, good at writing/composing songs, and he dances good. The others are talented as well in their own respective ways but it’s just Minwoo for me even though Junjin’s my favorite, LOL. ^^,

East of Eden
I have seen episodes 1-5 as those were the only episodes with english subtitles at the moment. I would not watch this drama if not for the many stars i like: Park Hae Jin, Lee Da Hae, Han Ji Hye, Yoon Jung Hoon minus Song Seung Hoon, lol! not much of a Song Seung Hoon but i don’t really hate him… ^^ The drama’s a mixture of revenge, family and complicated love story… very interesting but a very long one…

Beethoven Virus
So far i have only watched episode 1 but i instantly got hooked with this drama. The theme of the story, which is about orchestra really interestes me. Plus… i love the cast.. jang Geun Suk & Lee Ji Ah… yay!! can’t wait for the subs…

I enjoy watching this weekend drama on KBS World. I love the story of Yeong Su And Jeong Won. I also love the other characters except for the dramatic mother, Hanja, hahaha!! ^^

Surgeon Bong Dal Hee
It’s my first time watching a medical drama… and i’m loving it.. The cast is good. I love Lee Yo Won, she’s so pretty.. Can’t wait to see the love story between the perfectionist doctor and the intern, hehe! ^^
Actors Jang Geun-suk, Eric and Park Hae-jin, and singers Super Junior, SHINee, Jang Yoon-jung, Crying Nut and others, will be taking part in the “2008 Hope Festival with Academic Credit Bank System” (Hanareum Hope Festival) on September 23rd and 24th at the Olympic Park in Seoul.
The “Academic Credit Bank System” is a system implementing extracurricular activities as academic credit for junior colleges and universities. This festival marks the 10-year anniversary since the system has been in use.
The “2008 Hope Festival with Academic Credit Bank System” is sponsored by the National Institute for Lifelong Education, and participants include institutes who use the academic credit bank system, such as Seoul Art College.
The festival program will include performances by celebrities and students, fashion shows, independent film seminars with renowned movie directors Heo Jin-ho (“Happiness”) and Oh Ki-hwan (“The Art of Seduction”), singing contests, and magic shows.
In July, the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology had named actors Choi Ran, Jang Geun-suk, Park Hae-jin, Eric, and singer Jang Yoon-jung as spokesmodels for the academic credit bank system.
Jang Geun Suk in movie “Doremifasol” 3 years ago and in movie “Happy Life”
Movie “Doremifasol” in which Jang Geun Suk played as a leading role 3 years ago has just been released in Korea. Audience saw that Jang Geun Suk’s face in this movie really different from his current face. Therefore, it has a rumor that Jang Geun Suk had a cosmetic surgery.
In the show “Show Young” of OBS channel which has been filmed, Jang Geun Suk has officially denied that rumor. He said “I played in “Doremifasol” for 3 years ago. Therefore, the face in that movie is different with the current face that is a normal thing. I have never had a cosmetic surgery”.
Besides, Jang Geun Suk also showed his standpoint about the rumor that he will change his job to a singer “I really like to sing in films. However, I haven’t had intention to change my job to be a singer. I only have one goal that is to be an excellent actor.”
